TERMS & CONDITIONS

We are very excited that you are considering us for your next catering event. We’re sure that we will not disappoint you! That being said, we do want to make sure that you know our terms and conditions so that there are no surprises. BOOKING AND FINAL NUMBERS

We would appreciate at least 7-10 business days notice in order for you to book your event, select your menu and confirm your total. However, we can accept catering orders submitted up to 72 hours before your event.

 

In order to secure your date, we require customers to approve their invoice via email. For orders greater than $500, we require a non-refundable deposit of 30%.

Final guest counts, menu selections, and delivery details must be provided no less than 72 hours before your event. Modifications after this period cannot be guaranteed. 

 

For weddings and events with more than 100 guests, we request that you contact us as soon as possible so we can plan the details and best serve your event. Menu selection must be confirmed 5 business days before your event, and guest count must be confirmed 3 business days before your event. 

 

PAYMENT INFORMATION

By approving your invoice via email, you agree to pay the full amount by the date of your event. Late payment may incur a late fee. For businesses with fixed invoicing rules, accommodations can be made. Subsequent changes to orders will not require an additional deposit; the updated cost will reflect on the remaining balance of your final invoice.

 

FoodWorks accepts: Visa, MasterCard, Debit, E-transfer, EFT, and Credit payments. 

 

EQUIPMENT

We provide compostable plates, utensils, napkins, and cups free of charge with all orders. All serving platters and serving utensils are included in every order. 

 

FoodWorks can coordinate the rental of ceramic plates, metal utensils, cloth napkins, table linens, chair covers, and or glassware for your event. These services will incur an additional charge. Please include this in your initial request. 

 

We provide a coffee/tea service that includes everything needed, including hot water, coffee heaters, sugar, tea bags, cups, lids, stir sticks, and cup sleeves.

 

Please note that drivers will not return for pick up unless cambros, dishware, or rentals have been provided for the event. Our compostable plates, utensils, napkins, cups; and single-use serving platters and serving utensils belong to you after your event.

 

DELIVERY CHARGES

We are happy to offer a flat delivery fee of $40 within 20km of our storefront.

All other deliveries have a $60 fee. If multiple deliveries are needed, the fee will go up by $20 per additional delivery, with a max of $80

 

MENU ITEMS AND SPECIAL DIETARY REQUESTS

FoodWorks has a selection of gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Many of our dishes can be made to accommodate most dietary restrictions. For specific dietary requests, please specify what these may be. It should be noted that there may be additional charges for special accommodations.

 

CANCELLATION INFORMATION

FoodWorks is a social enterprise and relies heavily on the commitment of our catering clients to support the resources required to provide quality services. As such, we request any cancellations be done at least 3 business days in advance. 

 

In the event of a cancellation, we ask customers to notify us as soon as possible by emailing foodworks@operationcomehome.ca

 

Any cancellations that occur within less than 3 business days of the event will require a payment of 75% of the total invoice. All deposits made on catering orders are non-refundable even if canceled prior to the cancellation deadline.
